Where We’re Going and How We’ll Get There
“Every corner of Potter County deserves attention...I feel strongly my background positions me to lead the commissioners' court and work with every county department to ensure we’re taking care of business in the present, while planning for the next ten years.”

A Long-Term Plan for Potter County
Every strong county starts with a strong plan. Michelle believes that Potter County’s biggest challenges—public safety, infrastructure, and fiscal strain—are all symptoms of years without a clear direction. Just as she helps families and businesses plan for the future in her legal practice, she’ll bring that same mindset to county government: setting goals, creating timelines, and holding departments accountable for results. Her priority is to develop a 10-year plan that strengthens essential services, supports growth, and ensures tax dollars are used wisely.
Experience That Matters: Probates and Guardianships
The Potter County Judge handles hundreds of probate and guardianship cases each year — work that demands fairness, compassion, and attention to detail. With more than 30 years of experience helping families navigate these very same issues, Michelle is uniquely qualified to manage the judicial side of the office. She understands how to balance the letter of the law with the needs of local families, ensuring every case is handled efficiently and respectfully.
Smart Fiscal Leadership
With more than three decades of legal and business experience, Michelle understands budgets, contracts, and the importance of financial stewardship. She’ll work closely with county officials to build budgets that meet today’s needs while preparing for tomorrow’s. Her approach is simple—responsible spending, transparent decision-making, and forward-thinking investments that protect taxpayers and prevent future shortfalls.
Supporting First Responders
Our sheriff’s deputies, corrections officers, and firefighters put their lives on the line for our safety every day. Michelle believes long-term planning means making sure they have the tools, training, and pay they deserve. She will prioritize sustainable funding for public safety, ensuring that first responders can do their jobs safely and effectively without having to fight for resources year after year.
Growing Our Local Economy
Declining population and shrinking revenues threaten the county’s ability to provide basic services. Michelle’s business experience has taught her how to think creatively about growth and opportunity. She will lead efforts to attract new investment, encourage responsible development, and find innovative ways to generate revenue without increasing the burden on taxpayers. That includes working with state and private partners to strengthen infrastructure and expand the county’s tax base.
